WWE Night of Champions: Will John Cena's New Gear Have Any Impact on His Match?

Yes, matches in the WWE are scripted, but even so, there is no denying that sometimes certain unpredictable elements join forces to change the WWE's original intended plans.
Take Daniel Bryan and Kane. Despite the fact that the two men were expected to wrestle against each other at Night of Champions, they now find themselves in a tag-team match in which they'll be partners, all due to the unforeseen popularity of their recent "hugging it out" match.
Layla vs. Kaitlyn, on the other hand, is another example of the WWE doing their best to right a wrong, after the wrong diva went over the ropes at a battle royal set to determine the No. 1 contender.
Things happen. It is a fact with which the WWE constantly has to deal—perhaps most seriously this past Monday after Jerry Lawler's heart attack.
That being said, could John Cena's new shirt have some unforeseen effect in his match against CM Punk tonight?
Yes, the move to change his shirt from a Boston Celtics-inspired green (first seen during Cena's match against the Rock at WrestleMania 28) to a black-and-pink "Rise Above the Cancer" shirt (worn in honor of the upcoming October Breast Cancer Awareness month via the Boston Herald) is a deliberate one, but it still stands that since tonight's match will be on Cena's  "home turf" that his babyface actions may have an unforeseen response.
Could tonight be the night, when donning a pink shirt (the first time Cena's ever worn the color), that Boston's native son wins the big one again? Perhaps.
More likely, however, the effect of Cena's shirt will not be on Cena himself, but on his rival CM Punk.
Though CM Punk's heel turn started at Raw 1000, the Chicago native has yet to establish himself as a full-fledged heel.
Enter the pink shirt.
While it may be difficult to hate a man who wears a pink shirt in honor of breast cancer awareness, it is really easy to hate one who mocks what the color stands for.
Though Punk regularly wears pink (some may remember his indy days when he sported a "real men wear pink" shirt), without a doubt Cena's new gear will be used to fuel his feud against Cena
Punk needs a hook, even if it is a cheap one, to be seen as a heel, and this may just be it..
